Mathematics profs' gift supports applied numeric analysis

Annette and Richard Burden, professors in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Youngstown State University, have donated $30,000 to the YSU Foundation to support their passion for applied numeric analysis. The endowment honors the memories of their parents, Rocco A. and Elizabeth A. Sedall and Edward O. and Harriet W. Burden.

Dana School of Music presents choral, percussion, guitar performances

The Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University presents three diverse performances this week: the Fall Choral Concert, a recital by the Guitar Ensemble and a concert by the Percussion Ensemble. The week starts with the Choral Concert, titled “Choral Banquet in Praise, Beauty, Love, and Nature,” 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, 7:30 p.m. at St. Columba Cathedral, 159 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown. Four Dana vocal groups consisting of 60 students - the Dana Chorale, University Chorus, Dana Chorale and Symphonic Chorus – perform a variety of classical and contemporary pieces.
