Nearly 750 to attend BUSINESS 2020 this week on campus

Nearly 750 students from 22 high schools throughout the tri-county region will attend “BUSINESS 2020” 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 10, in the Chestnut Room in Kilcawley Center on the Youngstown State University campus. The event is conducted by YSU’s Williamson College of Business Administration, in conjunction with the Junior Achievement of the Mahoning Valley. More than 20 area leaders from various segments of business will offer insight and information during the panel sessions.

H.S. Accounting Career Day Nov. 16

The Ohio Society of CPAs presents High School Accounting Career Day 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, hosted in Williamson Hall by Youngstown State University’s Williamson College of Business Administration. President Jim Tressel will give welcoming remarks. During the program, college-bound high school students will hear first-hand about opportunities in accounting and finance from representatives of Cohen and Company, Hill Barth and King, and PNC bank, along with YSU accounting faculty and students. The event is free, and lunch is provided.

Student Loan Repayment Workshop Nov. 18

The Youngstown State University Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships is offering a Student Loan Repayment Workshop 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, in the Ohio Room of Kilcawley Center on campus. The workshops will focus on repayment plans, loan forgiveness programs, and borrower rights and responsibilities. While all students are invited to attend, all graduating student loan borrowers are particularly encouraged to attend. The presenter is Jeff Johnston of Sallie Mae.
