“Financial Planning for College in These Challenging Times” is the title of a free seminar 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center on the campus of Youngstown State University.
The seminar, which is open to the public, features David Anderson, founder of Empowerment Radio Network LLC. ERN focuses on raising the awareness of economic empowerment through entrepreneurship as well as the education of its listeners on social justice issues locally, nationally and internationally.

YSU also will host a free and public screening of the movie “Generation ONE: The Search for Black Wealth,” at 7 p.m. that same evening, followed by a Q&A session with Anderson. The event will also be in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center.
The seminar and movie screening are part of Anderson’s daylong visit to Youngstown that also includes a Power Breakfast at 7 a.m. in Price Memorial AME Zion Church, 920 Dryden Ave. in Youngstown, and a presentation 1 to 2:45 p.m. at East High School, 474 Bennington Ave. in Youngstown, for students of East and Campbell Memorial high schools.
