Meshel honored
A tree was planted outside Tod Hall earlier this fall in honor of Harry Meshel, right, a YSU alumni, former faculty member, former state senator and a current member of the Board of Trustees. Meshel’s family had the tree planted to commemorate his 90th birthday. The tree is part of YSU’s Campus Beautification Initiative, a program that is dedicated to the management and preservation of trees and green spaces. The initiative seeks to diversify the population of the campus’s nearly 2,000 trees by planting native species that are not yet present on the YSU campus.
