Dana presents Music at Noon concerts in April

Youngstown State University’s Dana School of Music presents free Music at Noon concerts Wednesdays at 12:15 p.m. in the Butler Institute of American Art. The concerts are open to the public and parking is free at the Butler. This semester’s concerts conclude on April 27 and will resume again in the fall.

The YSU Department of Art hosts a new Red Press Collaborative installment featuring guest artist Humberto Saenz in Room 4025 of Bliss Hall on campus. Visitors are welcome any day during the week from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to observe the printmaking process. A reception will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 6 in Room 4025 of Bliss Hall.

Business students inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma honorary

Forty-three students in Youngstown State University’s Williamson College of Business Administration have been inducted into the YSU Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma, the world’s premiere business honorary. Beta Gamma Sigma is reserved exclusively for schools accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. BGS members are found in all 50 states and more than 160 countries worldwide.

Exploration, Encounter and Exchange: YSU hosts History Day April 2

About 300 students from nearly 20 schools in five counties will compete in the 40th annual History Day event Saturday, April 2, at Youngstown State University, sponsored by the YSU Department of History. As part of History Day, the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor is offering free admission. The museum at 151 W. Wood St. on the YSU campus will be open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Two food trucks will be parked in the museum’s parking lot from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
