Youngstown State University, along with Hallmark Campus Communities and Fortress Real Estate Co., announced today the start of construction of a new 162-bed student apartment building on the west side of campus. “This project reflects YSU’s continued efforts to provide our students with the finest housing options and the most comprehensive student experience for their collegiate careers,” said Jim Tressel, YSU president.
Research by three students in Youngstown State University’s doctorate of Physical Therapy program has been accepted for presentation at a prestigious national conference in physical therapy. Drew D. Snyder of Macedonia, Ohio, Teale K. Bennett of Aurora, Ohio, and Jeremy C. Oller of Creston, Ohio, will present “Attitudes Towards Controversial Issues in Healthcare Policies in Doctor of Physical Therapy Students” at the American Physical Therapy Association’s Combined Sections Meeting. The meeting will be Feb. 17 to 20, 2016 in Anaheim, Cal.
More than 105 employers from local, regional, and national companies will attend Youngstown State University’s Fall 2015 Career Fair and Graduate School Fair 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, in the Chestnut and Ohio rooms of Kilcawley Center on campus. The fair provides information to individuals looking for professional full-time positions, internships, or co-op opportunities or who want to explore the Graduate programs that YSU has to offer.
