Alternative, or private, loan programs are designed to bridge the funding gap when savings, grants, federal loans, and other resources are not enough, or simply not available. YSU encourages all students to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and exhaust all eligibility for federal funds before applying for alternative loans.
W. Kamau Bell, comedian, political satirist and host of CNN’s “United Shades of America,” presents the Youngstown State University Centofanti Symposium 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, in Stambaugh Auditorium in Youngstown.
Tickets for the presentation are free but required for admission. Tickets are now available at the Stambaugh Auditorium box office and also at www.stambaughauditorium.com. Tickets are limited to four per person.
The James and Coralie Centofanti Memorial Scholarship was established in 2012 through a gift provided by the Centofanti Charitable Trust. The scholarship supports undergraduate and graduate students in health and human service majors who have expressed a sincere desire to serve vulnerable population groups upon graduation. Student's must:
