STEM Student Organizations

The STEM community has a variety of student professional organizations that allow you to grow and foster your learning in an environment with those who share the same interests. By coming together with students and faculty members outside of the classroom setting, you will be able to experience even more within your academic discipline.

BCLASSE Advisement

Advisors in the Beeghly College of Liberal Arts, Social Sciences, and Education are here to assist you in exploring areas of learning both in and out of the classroom. As your guides to understanding the requirements and options of your chosen major, minor or certificate program, advisors are here to encourage and support you in establishing, tracking and accomplishing your academic goals in a timely manner.

We encourage you to meet with your advisor at least once a year to ensure you maintain progress.

Students who must meet with an advisor include:

Opportunities

The purpose of the student teaching experience is to learn about teaching. You'll have ample opportunity to develop and practice the knowledge and skills required in the Ohio Standards for the Teaching Professions.

Cooperating teachers provide mentorship by incorporating a co-teaching model during your student teaching experience. This approach will allow you to have a gradual increase in responsibilities with consistent monitoring, feedback and support from the cooperating teacher.
