Now through May 5. The works of 29 graduating YSU art students are featured in the Spring Graduating BFA Exhibition in the McDonough Museum of Art on campus. The museum is open Tuesdays through Saturdays, 11 a.m. to until 4 p.m. The museum is open to the public and admission is free.
Monday, April 24, 6:15 p.m. College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Honors Convocation in the Chestnut room in Kilcawley Center.
Monday, April 24, 7:30 p.m. Dana School of Music Concert Band and Wind Ensemble performance in Stambaugh Auditorium. Tickets, available the night of the concert, are $6 for adults and $5 for seniors. Anyone with a valid YSU ID is free. Parking is free in the lots adjacent to Stambaugh Auditorium. For more information, call 330-941-2307.
Tuesday, April 25, 11 a.m. to noon. The YSU Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships presents an information session on student loan repayment in the Presidential Suites of Kilcawley Center. Topics that will be discussed include loan repayment plans, loan forgiveness programs, borrower rights and responsibility. Tuesday, April 25, 5 p.m. Fourteen students in Youngstown State University’s Israeli Politics class will present a "Model Knesset" simulation of Israel’s parliament in the Ohio Room of Kilcawley Center on campus.

Wednesday, April 26 through April 28. 39th annual Youngstown State University English Festival featuring E. Lockhart, Thomas and Carol Gay Guest Lecturer and Gene Luen Yang, James A. Houck Guest Lecturer. Students in grades 7 to 12 from schools throughout the region will participate in the festival in YSU’s Kilcawley Center.
Wednesday, April 26, 7 p.m. Free screening of “Awake, A Dream From Standing Rock,” a new film about the native-led peaceful resistance to the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline in Room B112 of Cushwa Hall.
Friday, April 28, 7:30 p.m. Dana School of Music Spring Choral Concert II featuring the YSU Barbershop, University Chorus and Dana Chorale groups, along with conductors, Hae-Jong Lee and Stephen in Bliss Recital Hall. The program is free and open to the public.
Saturday, April 29, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Second Annual Advertising Summit, sponsored by the Youngstown State University Ads Club will be held in the auditorium of the Williamson College of Business Administration at YSU. Free and open to the public, the Summit features industry professionals including Chris Cole and Becky Bertuzzi along with the YSU’s Ads Club Competition Team. Presenters will share their experiences and work in the worlds of Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations and Design in a TEDx atmosphere.
