YSU presents Spring Choral Concert II
The Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University presents the Spring Choral Concert II featuring the YSU Barbershop, University Chorus and Dana Chorale groups, along with conductors, Hae-Jong Lee and Stephen West at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 28 in Bliss Recital Hall.
The program is free and open to the public.
The Barbershop ensemble will perform traditional barbershop selections such as “Auntie Skinner's Chicken Dinner,” “I Love You Truly” and “I Love a Barbershop Song.”
As part of his fulfillment of the Master’s degree in Choral Conducting, graduate student West will conduct the University Chorus and Dana Chorale with selections including: “Il Bianco e Dolce Cigno” by Jacques Arcadelt; “A Boy and a Girl” by Eric Whitacre; “Like an Eagle” by Carl Strommen; and “Hear My Prayer, O Lord” by Henry Purcell.
Parking is available in the M30 Wick Avenue parking deck via Walnut Street (GPS address is 100 Wade Street, Youngstown OH 44502) for a nominal fee. Patrons are advised to watch for posted detours as construction progresses on Wick Avenue.
