1098-T

Why did I receive a 1098-T?

Colleges and universities are required by U.S. law each year to provide each student who is a “US person” for tax purposes with Form 1098-T, to assist the students and their families in computing any tax credit or deduction they may be able to claim, based on amounts they have spent for education. A 1098-T is not required to be furnished if a student's qualified tuition and related expenses are entirely waived or paid entirely with scholarships or grants.

Registration

Your (the student's) school district CCP coordinator, or school counselor, reviews course options and high school graduation requirements with you to determine what courses to register for.

How do I register for a CCP course?

If you are taking classes in your high school...

Textbooks and Materials

You (the student) are responsible for your own school supplies (notebooks, pens, pencils, highlighters, paper, etc.). Your school district is responsible for providing textbooks and required course materials. Each school district owns the textbooks and supplies purchased for CCP courses and should provide you with the textbook policy for your school. Note: If you self-pay for a CCP course, you will be responsible for the cost of textbooks and course materials for that course.

Student Cost: Option A vs Option B

Tuition: Option A vs Option B

Under Option A, you (the student) pay for tuition, books, and materials. You can select whether to receive only college credit or high school and college credit for the course. If you choose only college credit, the grade for the course is not factored into your high school grade point average. The University will bill you for tuition and you are expected to pay the amount due by the due date.
