YSU Alumni Day at Blossom Music Festival set for Aug. 13

A private picnic in Blossom’s Knight Grove Pavilion, followed by the Cleveland Orchestra’s performance of the music of Hollywood Heroes and Superheroes, is scheduled as part of Youngstown State University Alumni Day Sunday, Aug. 13 at the Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls.

The picnic for alumni will take place 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Knight Grove Pavilion. Following the picnic, The Cleveland Orchestra, with Richard Kaufman conducting, presents the music of Hollywood Heroes and Superheroes. The all-star salute to the biggest, boldest and baddest heroes of the silver screen: Superman, Spiderman, Batman, and more features selections from Star Wars, Star Trek and James Bond movies.

The cost is $40 per person and includes a choice of boxed lunch, a parking permit for lots CDE and a pavilion concert ticket. Reservations are due by August 13. Register online or for more information, contact Ed Goist in the YSU Office of Alumni Engagement via email or at 330-941-2753.
