YSU alumna earns Microsoft’s highest award
Microsoft has recognized Youngstown State University alumna Heather Caban, in her first year with the company, with the Circle of Excellence Platinum Club Award.
A 2010 graduate from the Williamson College of Business Administration at YSU, Caban was selected as one of only 150 employees, out of 120,000 worldwide, to receive Microsoft’s highest level of recognition.
Microsoft's Circle of Excellence Platinum Club Award program honors the top performing employees worldwide. Based on achievements, contributions and impact to the business, only 1 percent of employees will earn this award in their careers.
Caban joined Microsoft in February 2016. In her role as Global Black Belt, EMS Security, Caban works with Microsoft’s largest enterprise customers to secure their organizations as they adopt digital transformation and move to the cloud.
After graduating with honors from YSU with a degree in Business Administration with focus in sales and marketing, Caban worked for cybersecurity company Proofpoint before joining Microsoft. She currently resides in St. Louis with her husband and four children.
