NAFTA-Canada seminar set for March 28 at Williamson

US/Canada FlagThe Ohio Small Business Development Center Export Assistance Network at Youngstown State University will host the NAFTA-Canada Seminar from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 28, in Room 3415 in the Williamson College of Business Administration at YSU.  Registration and breakfast runs from 8:00 -8:30 a.m.

Dan Ujczo, counsel and cross-border business development director, and Suzanne Sukkar, counsel, both from the law firm Dickinson Wright, PLLC, will host the session. The seminar will cover market opportunities with U.S.- Canada and NAFTA Trade, legal considerations for engaging in North American trade, business travel and immigration issues related to NAFTA, NAFTA rules of origin, the future of NAFTA under the Trump Administration and a global immigration update.

Ujczo is also an international trade and customs lawyer who specializes in Canada-United States matters. In addition to his legal practice, Dan has responsibility for coordinating the firm’s innovative Canada-US Platform where he collaborates with more than 400 Dickinson Wright attorneys who regularly assist businesses that have cross-border issues such as customs and compliance, corporate structuring, M&A, taxation, business immigration, intellectual property protection, and financial incentives.

Sukkar has years of experience in all areas of immigration law, including, obtaining non-immigrant employment-based visas, immigrant employment-based visas, outbound (global) immigration, family-based immigration, and naturalization. She is experienced in conducting I-9 and LCA file audit training. She has also developed a niche expertise in the area of E-1/E-2 (treaty trader/investor) visa applications, consular processing, and start-up ventures.
