Services for Nursing Students

INCLUDED:

• Physicals (need an appointment)
• Flu Shots
• TB tests (one TB required for Juniors and Seniors and two TB tests required for Sophomores)
• Tdap
• Hep B

NOT included in your student fee but billed to your insurance:

• Lab work/Titers
• MMR booster if needed
• Varicella booster if needed

Important things to remember:

• Call to schedule appointments for physical.
• Walk-ins are ok but an appointment will help minimize the wait time
• Bring your YSU ID and insurance card

Testing and Vaccines Required for nursing students

TB Testing (PPD)
First year Nursing Student: 2 step TB
Every year thereafter: 1 step TB
OR
T Spot every year

Hepatitis B Vaccine:
Either is fine
Heplisav-B: 2 doses at 0 and 1 mos {PREFERRED due to time frame}                       
Recoumbivax HB: 3 doses at 0, 1, 6 mos

Hep B titer is required to evaluate immunity status
MMR and Varicella is required to evaluate immunity status both are two doses at 0 and 1 month
