YSU student fund managers attend forum, tour NYSE, visit "Fast Money"
Twenty members of the Youngstown State University Student Investment Fund participated in the three-day Quinnipiac Global Asset Management Education Forum in New York last month.
GAME is the largest student-led finance conference in the world, playing host to more than 50 countries and 1,500 student and professional attendees.
The YSU Student Investment Fund, now managing nearly $1.4 million, took part in the forum's portfolio competition against more than 160 universities and were judged on a variety of categories, including growth, value and fixed income.
Kelli Dougherty, junior Finance major, represented YSU at the Nasdaq closing bell ceremony.
Student Investment Fund members also participated in a tour of the New York Stock Exchange and were on set at CNBC's Fast Money. The event wrapped up with a private roundtable discussion hosted by Morgan Stanley, the sixth-largest investment bank in the world, at its headquarters in Times Square.
