The event involved networking with mental health agencies in the surrounding areas, a training on how to approach Ohio legislators and learn about the impact of certain bills in the House and Senate and a meeting with our District's Senator's or House Representative's staff.

The students advocated for clients, peers, and the community to expand funding for paid internships & the Great Minds Fellowship grant, increase Medicaid reimbursement rates, and emphasize the need for mental health resources and education for children. They are grateful that their voice was heard, and that they were given the opportunity to make a difference.
