YSU SBDC presents "CE Mark" workshop
The Youngstown State University Small Business Development Center Export Assistance Network presents a workshop on “CE Mark Regulation” 8:30 to 11 a.m. June 20 in the Williamson College of Business Administration on campus.
Exporters of most categories of machinery and equipment must comply with "CE Marking" directives before distributing their products in the European Union. Their products must conform to certain health and safety requirements, must undergo a hazard identification and risk analysis, must have a CE Mark affixed to them, and must be accompanied by specific documentation before they can be offered for sale in a EU country.
The workshop, which includes breakfast, will cover regulatory compliance, the CE Mark process, countries that require the markings, testing compliance and common mistakes. The presenter is Sam Mastovich, general manager of Keystone Compliance.
