YSU recognized on national "best of" rankings
Youngstown State University and many of its academic programs are included on several recent national rankings, including:
The Sales Education Foundation Annual magazine named YSU as one of the nation’s “Top Universities for Professional Sales Education.” The Sales Program and the Professional Sales Center in YSU’s Williamson College of Business Administration was established at 2014. The Center co-sponsored a “live” sales competition with Kent State University and Cleveland State University as part of collaborative effort, providing business students with a platform to practice their skills, earn scholarships and compete against sales students from the other universities.
The Sports Management Degree Guide lists YSU’s Sports Communication program as the most affordable in the nation. Second on the list is Arizona State University, and also in the top 20 are Clemson and Oklahoma State. The ranking was developed using the National Center for Education Statistic’s College Navigator database.
The Master’s Program Guide ranks YSU’s master’s program in Economics as the nation’s fourth Best Online Master’s Programs in Economics. YSU ranks just behind the University of Missouri and just ahead of Georgia Southern University. The list is based on earnings potential, affordability, student satisfaction and selectivity.
Affordable Schools ranks YSU’s Mechanical Engineering program the ninth Best and Affordable ME Degree Program in the nation, according to a new survey. The list is based on information from the National Center for Education Statistics’ College Navigator database and institutional accreditation agencies approved by the U.S. Education Department. YSU outranks schools such as Cleveland State, Northern Illinois, Southern Illinois and North Dakota State.
Affordable Schools also includes YSU’s Geography program in the list of the top 40 Best and Affordable Geography Degree Programs in the nation. The list is based on information from the National Center for Education Statistics’ College Navigator database and three other metrics: average cost of attendance, student-to-faculty ratio and graduation rate.
Great Value Colleges ranks YSU among the Top 25 Most Affordable Bachelor’s in Astronomy programs in the country. The ranking is based on the National Center for Education Statistics’ College Navigator database.
Great Value Colleges also ranks YSU’s Bachelor’s in Philosophy #26 in the nation. The ranking is based on the National Center for Education Statistics’ College Navigator database.
