YSU nursing students inducted into Sigma XiXi Honor Society
Sigma XiXi has inducted 56 new members from The Bitone College of Health and Human Services’s Centofanti School of Nursing into its chapter, recognizing outstanding academic achievement and leadership in the field of nursing.
The March 24 event inducted 55 undergraduate and graduate nursing students as well as one nurse leader, all of whom have demonstrated excellence in their academic and professional pursuits.
Sigma XiXi is an esteemed international nursing honor society dedicated to advancing knowledge, leadership, and service in the profession. Membership is awarded to students who meet rigorous academic and ethical standards.
To be accepted into the honor society, undergraduates must be enrolled in a bachelor's nursing program, complete half of their nursing curriculum, rank in the top 35% of their class and maintain a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Graduate students must have completed at least one-fourth of their nursing curriculum, meet the expectation of academic integrity and maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA.
This induction highlights YSU’s commitment to preparing skilled, compassionate nursing professionals who will make meaningful contributions to healthcare.
