YSU History Program exhibit receives 2024 Ohio Academy of History Public History Award
YSU’s History program will be relaunching the "Hearing Our Voices: Discovering Black Youngstown" exhibit at the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor with a reception and bestowal of the 2024 Ohio Academy of History Public History Award to take place 5:30 p.m., April 17.
The Ohio Academy of History is a professional society of teachers, scholars, public historians and students interested in all fields of history. It seeks to promote the development of historical knowledge among the citizens and students of Ohio.
The exhibit was developed by YSU students under the supervision of Donna DeBlasio, professor emerita, History and was funded by a grant from the Charles Darling Endowment in American History.
This event is open to the public, refreshments will be provided.
