Becoming a member is an honor telling of commitment, high academic achievement and leadership. An international organization, BGS members are found in all 50 states and more than 190 countries around the world.
Chapters recognized for Highest Honor status are eligible to receive $500 from BGS Headquarters, with a guarantee by the residing school to match the funds and are awarded to a BGS student of their choosing.
This honorary society postulates self-development, service and association among members, and encourages a sense of ethical, social and public responsibility for young professionals. Student members have the opportunity to attend the global leadership summit where they interact with other BGS members from all over the world. YSU students also participate in service activities.
To be eligible for membership, students must be registered in business administration programs and be candidates for the baccalaureate or MBA degree. Students ranking in the top 10 percent of the sophomore, junior, or senior classes or the top 20 percent of the master's program are eligible for this membership.
