The Youngstown Historical Center of Industry & Labor hosts its fourth Toolbox Workshop at noon Saturday, April 9.
The free event, which is open to the public, features a presentation by Barbara Powers, director of the State Historic Preservation Office for Inventory and Registration at the Ohio History Connection in Columbus. Powers will speak on “Learning about the National Register of Historic Places & National Historic Landmark Programs.”
The workshop is sponsored by AmeriCorps, the Ohio History Connection, Youngstown State University and the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry & Labor. The museum is at 151 West Wood St. in Youngstown. For more information and to reserve a seat, call 330-941-1314.
The Toolbox Workshop series is designed to provide historical society members, volunteers, historians and all interested individuals with information, education and fellowship with like-minded people in the community. It brings history professionals to the area to share their experiences and knowledge on a variety of topics.
The next workshop will be noon Saturday, April 30, “Artwork Collections Care,” featuring artist and Soap Gallery owner Daniel Rauschenbach and will be held at the Soap Gallery, 117 South Champion St. in Youngstown.
