Williamson College honors 16 Senior Leadership Awardees
Sixteen students in the Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University who graduated on Saturday are recipients of the WCBA Senior Leadership Award recognizing outstanding academic performance, leadership activities, and commitment to the professional development.
The honorees are:
Accounting majors in the Lariccia School of Accounting and Finance - Patrick Beatty, Milos Mijajlovic, and Haley Tohm.
Finance majors in the Lariccia School of Accounting and Finance - Abbey Berick, Jacob Rauschenberg, Autumn Kirila, and Kelli Dougherty were recognized in the field of Finance.
Management majors - Beau R. Weaver, Business Administration; Kathryn Biller, Amanda L. Paynter, Tran M. Tuong, and Julianna M. Villani, Human Resource Management.
Marketing majors - Brooke Lissy, Michael Sabatini and Chloe Goehring.
Economics major - Alanis Chew.

Accounting
Patrick Beatty | Bridgeville, PA | BSBA, Accounting. Patrick worked as a YSU Tour Guide in the Office of Admissions for 4 years and was the Vice Chair of Financial Affairs for YSU Student Government for 2 years. He was an active member of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), serving as president from fall 2017 to present. He was an affiliate of Beta Alpha Psi, International Accounting Honors Society. During the summer of 2019, he worked as an intern at Eaton Corporation where he will continue full-time after graduation.
Milos Mijajlovic | Cleveland, OH | BSBA, Accounting. Milos was an active member of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) and an affiliate of Beta Alpha Psi. He completed 2 internships during his time at YSU: one at First National Bank and the other at Cohen & Company where he will continue full-time after graduation.
Haley Tohm | Columbiana, OH | BSBA, Accounting. Haley has been working at the Tax Shop in Columbiana since January 2018. She has been the Director of Academic Achievement for the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority and is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma. After graduation, she will join The Walt Disney Company for the Disney College Program.
Finance
Abbey Berick | Youngstown, Ohio | BSBA, Finance: Financial Management Track. Abbey was the Beta Alpha Psi Communication Director for the 2019-2020 academic year in addition to being a member of the Beta Alpha Psi presentation team that placed first at the Regional Conference. She is also a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Abbey worked as an intern at Century 21 Lakeside Realty during the summer of 2019 and Rapid Mortgage this past semester.
Jacob Rauschenberg | Boardman, OH | BSBA, Finance: Financial Management. Jacob was active with the Student Investment Fund where he served as president for 2 years and attended the Quinnipiac Global Asset Management Education Forum in New York, NY. As a student member of the CFA Society Cleveland, he participated in numerous ne2rking events with the organization. Jacob is an affiliate of Beta Alpha Psi and has volunteered with several nonprofit organizations including the American Heart Association, Junior Achievement of Mahoning Valley and the Boys & Girls Club of Youngstown. In June 2019 Jacob worked as an Institutional and Analytical Service Intern with the Federated Investors in Pittsburgh, PA. After graduation, he will start full-time at Federated Hermes as an Operations Analyst.
Autumn Kirila | Burghill, Ohio | BSBA, Finance: Financial Management Track. Autumn was an active member of the Student Investment Fund where she served as secretary for 2 years. She was a member of the YSU Honors College and YSU College Conservatives. In August 2018 she started work as a Financial Planner Administrator Intern at FEIC Financial, Inc. in Youngstown, Ohio. During the Spring of 2020, she took part in the Japan Global Learning Experience. Autumn will be joining Thermo Fisher Scientific upon graduation.
Kelli Dougherty | Boardman, Ohio | BSBA, Finance: Financial Management Track. Kelli was an active member of the Student Investment Fund and attended the Quinnipiac Global Asset Management Education Forum in New York, NY. Kelli served as a student ambassador through the Presidential Residence Hall Leader program, a Presidential Mentor in the Office of the President and worked as a student assist in the Office of the President. Kelli worked as a Finance Intern at KeyBank National Association in Cleveland, Ohio. She took part in the Spring 2020 Japan Global Learning Experience trip this past January. Kelli plans to join Raymond James as a Social Assistant upon graduation.
Marketing
Brooke Lissy | Windham, OH | BSBA, Advertising & Public Relations. Brooke was an active member in several WCBA student organizations including the Student Nonprofit Leadership Organization, the Advertising Club, and the WCBA Business Leaders Program. She served as the Secretary of the Ads Club her Junior year and as the President her Senior year, completing four National Student Advertising Competition plan books and representing the organization at regional competitions. Brooke also served as the Student Nonprofit Leadership Organization’s Vice President since 2018. Brooke is a member of the YSU Honors College and is a certified Emergency Medical Technician for Windham Joint Fire Department. Throughout her undergrad, she worked as an intern with Junior Achievement of Mahoning Valley and an Account Management Intern at Geometry Global in Akron, OH on the Nestlé team.
Michael Sabatini | East Liverpool, OH | BSBA, Marketing: Sales Management. Michael was an active member of Pi Sigma Epsilon professional fraternity for Sales, Marketing and Management where he served as the Vice President of Human Resources for 2 years. Michael represented the organization at several regional and national competitions including the Sales Competition in Muncie, IN. Michael also volunteers as a sales pitch/presentation coach with Junior Achievement of Mahoning Valley.
Chloe Goehring | Industry, PA | BSBA, Marketing Management. Chloe served as the American Marketing Association Graphic Design Chair for 2018-2019 and was Co-President for 2019-2020. She was involved with numerous student organizations on campus like WCBA Business Leaders Program, Pella Penguins Acapella Group, YSU Marching Pride. Beta Gamma Sigma and the YSU Honors College. Chloe spent summer 2019 completing a Marketing Information internship with Brkich Design Group in Beaver, PA. She also volunteered with the Community Hospice Service Project in Salem, Ohio.
Management
Beau R Weaver | Poland, OH | BSBA, Business Administration. Beau worked as a Program Associate Intern at the Youngstown Business Incubator during the summer 2019. He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, participated in WCBA Day to Care Day, and has earned a certificate in Entrepreneurship and a minor in Marketing. Beau will join MIP, Inc. as a Sales Manager after graduation.
Kathryn A Biller | Mt. Pleasant, PA | BSBA, Human Resource Management. Katie was an active member in the Society of Human Resources (SHRM) where she served as secretary for the 2019-2020 academic year. She was also Relay for Life Recruitment Chair, Fresh’Guin Mentor, a YSU Women’s Lacrosse Club member, part of the Emerging Leaders Program, member of the Minority Education Association, Guinathon participant, and the Andrew’s Risk Management Delegation (ARM’d). She interned as a Human Resource & Payroll Assistant at Idlewild and SoakZone in Ligonier, PA during the summer of 2019.
Amanda L Paynter | Youngstown, OH | BSBA, Human Resource Management. Amanda was active in the Student Nonprofit Leadership Organization serving as president since August 2017. She was an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), member of the Coalition for Christian Outreach, worked as a Peer Leader in First Year Student program and a Career Peer in the Center for Career and Academic Advising at YSU. Amanda spent the summer of 2019 as an Operations Administration Intern at the Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries in Youngstown, Ohio and the previous summer she interned with Uplift Solutions in Philadelphia, PA. She is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and the YSU Honors College.
Tran M Tuong | Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam | BSBA, Human Resource Management. Tran was a Resident Assistant in the Office of Housing & Residence Life and a member of the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. He was also an HR intern at Hoerbiger/Altronic in Girard, Ohio and the YSU HR Department.
Julianna M Villani | Poland, OH | BSBA, Human Resource Management. Julianna was an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) where she served as President for the 2019-2020 academic year. She worked with the YSU Athletic Director as a member of the Hospitality & Guest Services Team and a Student Office Assistant. Julianna is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma. Since May 2018 she has been working as a Human Resource Intern at The Muransky Companies in Boardman, Ohio and has accepted a full-time position as HR Assistant to the HR Manager after graduation.
Economics
Alanis Chew | Poland, OH | BS, Mathematics and BSBA, Business Administration. Alanis was very active in numerous WCBA and YSU student organizations including the Association for Women in Mathematics (President 2019-2020), Beta Gamma Sigma (President 2019-2020), Phi Kappa Phi (Student Vice President), and ENACTUS (President 2018-2019). She was also a member of the YSU Honors College, WCBA Business Leaders, YSU Economics Club and Pi Mu Epsilon. Alanis represented the WCBA at the X-Culture Company Challenge in Calgary, Canada during the summer of 2019 and presented at the MAA MathFest in Denver, CO. She worked as a Beeghly Fellow in the Ohio Small Business Development Center and as a Management Intern at the Olsavsky Jaminet Architects, Inc. in Youngstown, Ohio.
