YSUpdate, the university’s campus newsletter, has received a top honor in the Collegiate Advertising Awards program. The publication earned a Gold Award, a designation recognizing newsletters in the top 5 percent nationally. CAA recognizes excellence in communications, marketing, advertising and promotions. YSUpdate competed against schools with enrollments of 10,000 to 20,000 and was selected among 900 entries from the United States and Canada.
Steinem lecture
Gloria Steinem, one of the world’s preeminent activists for women, presents the YSU Centofanti Symposium 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, in Stambaugh Auditorium. The lecture is free and open to the public, but tickets are required. Tickets are available at the Stambaugh box office or online at www.stambaughauditorium.com. BoT meetings
The YSU Board of Trustees holds its next set of quarterly meetings Wednesday and Thursday, March 15 and 16. The board’s committee meet starting 8:30 a.m. on March 15 and run through 6 p.m. The full regular board meeting is set for 3 p.m. March 16. All meetings are in the Trustees Meeting Room on the first floor of Tod Hall.
