YSU baseball squad takes on rival Kent State at Eastwood Field in Niles, the final home game of the season. Wednesday, May 18, 11 a.m. News conference to announce a major, seven-figure gift to the university will be held in the lobby of Tod Hall on campus. Friday and Saturday, May 20 and 21, 8 p.m. Ward Beecher Planetarium presents “Exploring New Horizons.” The planetarium also shows “Case of the Disappearing Planet” at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21. Free. Saturday, May 21, noon. Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor and Americorps hosts the sixth and final toolbox workshop at the museum on Wood Street in Youngstown. The free workshop, entitled “The History Fund: Grants for History Projects from the Ohio History Connection,” is presented by Andy Verhoff, Ohio History Fund grant coordinator. More than 150 alumni from across the nation are expected to attend the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity Reunion and Red Carnation in the The Atrium at the Williamson College of Business Administration on campus. The event, which is attracting graduates from the 1940s to the 1990s, includes dinner, live music and a yearbook/memorabilia display.
