Monday, Feb. 8, 5 p.m. Media artist Brian House, who teaches in the Digital + Media program at the Rhode Island School of Design, lectures in the McDonough Museum of Art on campus. Monday, Feb. 8, 7:30 p.m. The Dana School of Music presents a faculty horn recital featuring Stacie Mickens, horn; Brian Kiser, tuba; and Diane Yazvac, piano, in Bliss Recital Hall. The performance is free and open to the public. The repertoire will include both contemporary and classical pieces by composers John Stevens, Margaret Brouwer, Johann Sebastian Bach and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Parking is available in the Wick Avenue deck for a nominal fee. Tuesday, Feb. 9, 10 a.m. The Emerging Scholar and Professional Organization Of The Gerontological Society of America presents a community panel discussion in First Presbyterian Church on Wick Avenue in Youngstown. Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1 to 3:30 p.m. The YSU Williamson College of Business Administration is inviting employers from across Ohio and the surrounding regions to participate in “Meet the Employers Day” in Williamson Hall on the YSU campus. The event allows employers to discuss internship career opportunities with WCBA students, identify potential candidates for future employment, and network with other business professional, YSU business faculty and staff. Wednesday, Feb. 10, 12:15 p.m. The Dana School of Music presents a free Music at Noon concert featuring the new Barbershop Quartet, “One Achord,” and the Dana Chorale, in the Butler Institute of American Art. The performance is free and open to the public. The Barbershop Quartet’s repertoire includes Let Me Call You Sweetheart, Honey/Little ‘Lize Medley, My Wild Irish Rose, Tee-idle Dum Dum, I’m All Alone, Irish Blessing, and Auntie Skinner’s Chicken Dinner. The Dana Chorale will perform Franz Schubert’s Sanctus from Mass in G and Moses Hogan’s Elijah Rock. Call 330-941-2307. Thursday, Feb. 11. Nearly 175 students from 19 middle and junior high schools through the region participate in the 2016 MATHCOUNTS competition on campus.

The YSU Bridges Out of Poverty Student Union presents a Poverty Simulation in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center on the YSU campus.
