VoiceScapes Audio Theater performance Nov. 4 at DeYor
VoiceScapes Audio Theater presents an afternoon of live comedy and drama 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4 in Ford Family Recital Hall, DeYor Performing Arts Center, 260 W. Federal St., in Youngstown.
Tickets are $24 for adults; $14 for youth ages 3-17; $18 for senior citizens and YSU faculty and staff, and are available by calling 330-744-0264 or at deyorpac.org. Parking is available in adjacent lots.
The performance is part of the Donald P. Pipino Performing Arts Series in the Cliffe College of Creative Arts and Communication at Youngstown State University.
VoiceScapes is an audio theater repertory company that features an award-winning cast of master voice artists, including audio actors, directors, sound engineers, writers and producers. The group performs fun and original audio theater shows, complete with music and both live and recorded sound effects. Seven scripts will be performed, including Till Death Do Us Not Part, It Always Feels Like Monday, and Kidnapping 101.
In addition, Robin Miles, a member of VoiceScapes, will conduct a master class in voice acting, narrating, producing and directing 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5, in the Ford Family Recital Hall at DeYor. Miles is a Grammy, Audie, Ben Franklin, and Audiofile Earphone award-winning voice actor, narrator, producer and director. She has more than 300 audiobooks to her credit. A former professor at SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Theater, Miles holds degrees from Yale and the Yale School of Drama.
