Tickets available for Eddie George lecture
Eddie George, star running back who won the Heisman Trophy at Ohio State and played nine seasons in the NFL with the Tennessee Titans, presents the Youngstown State University Thomas Colloquium 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, in Stambaugh Auditorium in Youngstown.
The lecture is free, but tickets are required and are available at the Stambaugh box office or www.stambaughauditorium.com. Tickets are available beginning Feb. 11.
George was a record-setting running back at Ohio State, winning the Heisman in 1995, and was drafted in the first round of the NFL draft. He was the NFL Rookie of the Year in 1996, was named to the Pro Bowl four consecutive seasons and ended his career in 2004 with more than 10,000 rushing yards.
He went on to earn an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. He founded the Edward George Wealth Management Group, and he is a founding partner of Edge, an integrated team of planners, landscape architects and development consultants. He has worked as a studio analyst for FOX College Football and a commentator with Yahoo Sports Radio. Among his acting credits is Othello and Julius Caesar at the Nashville Shakespeare Festival, the movie “Game Plan” with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and a role in the musical Chicago on Broadway in 2016.
