Swing into Fall with the YSU Dana School of Music Jazz Ensemble Concert
The YSU Dana School of Music Jazz Studies Area will present an evening of jazz for its fall concert 7:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 25, in the Ford Theater, located in YSU’s Bliss Hall. The concert will feature the YSU Jazz Ensemble, directed by Kent J. Engelhardt, professor of Music in the Dana School of Music.
The ensemble will feature a variety of jazz staples, including “This Bass Was Made For Walkin’” by Thad Jones, “Softly, As In a Morning Sunrise” by Sigmund Romberg and Oscar Hammerstein II, and “Lazy Day” by Bob Mintzer. The ensemble will be joined by guest vocalist Elizabeth Jadue, adding a unique touch to the evening’s performances.
Entry to this event is free and open to the public, providing the public with an excellent opportunity to experience the talent of the jazz students in the Dana School of Music. Parking is available in the Wick Avenue Deck (M30) for a $5 fee payable in cash only.
