Student Art and Design Exhibition opens at McDonough Museum

The 80th Annual Juried Student Art and Design Exhibition,opens Friday, March 25 in the McDonough Museum of Art. Deanna Cameneti, a YSU graphic design major, created this identity design for the exhibition.

Youngstown State University’s 80th Annual Juried Student Art and Design Exhibition, sponsored by the Student Art Association, opens Friday, March 25 in the John J. McDonough Museum of Art on campus. The exhibit continues through April 8. Artists will be honored at a reception and awards ceremony 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 25. Award categories include, photography, painting, sculpture, digital media, graphic and interactive design. The exhibit features works by students enrolled in the Department of Art at YSU. Deanna Cameneti, a graphic design major in the Department of Art, created the identity design for the exhibition. The juror for the exhibit is Theresa Bembnister, associate curator at the Akron Art Museum. She earned a master’s degree in Art History and Museum Studies from Case Western Reserve University and a bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Kansas City Art Institute. The museum is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. Admission is free.
