Sokolov Honors College Open House set for Oct. 13

The Sokolov Honors College at Youngstown State University hosts prospective honors and YSU-BaccMed students at the fall open house Friday, Oct. 13 on campus.

The annual event gives high school students, interested in all majors, a chance to hear from current Honors students, staff and faculty; tour the Honors residence halls and facilities; and learn more about the program.

The YSU Sokolov Honors College provides academically motivated students with enriched classroom experiences, engaging in the community, and leadership opportunities.

The open house features a panel of current students who will share their YSU and honors experiences, sessions in the disciplinary colleges, a special session explaining the YSU-BaccMed pre-medical pathway program, campus and honors residence hall tours and more. Check-in begins at 12:15 p.m., and the event concludes by 4 p.m. Interested students should sign up at online by October 9. Guests are also welcome, and a light lunch will be provided.
