Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing Xi Xi Chapter and the Department of Nursing at Youngstown State University host “An Evening of Research” 5 to 8:15 p.m. Monday, April 18, in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center on the YSU campus.
More than 200 students, professional nurses and faculty are expected to attend. The event is open to the public.
The keynote speaker is international nursing leader and author Joyce Fitzpatrick, the Elizabeth Brooks Ford Professor of Nursing at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
Undergraduate and graduate nursing students and members of the nursing community will disseminate their research through podium and poster presentations. Research topics include coping with stress, sepsis education and disaster planning.
Sigma Theta Tau, Xi Xi chapter will also honor local leaders in the nursing profession.
The cost of this event is $25 and includes a buffet dinner. Registration is required to Jennie Wood at jmwood@ysu.edu.
