Rain, rain go away...

Wonderful, sunny, late summer weekdays turned to monsoon-like conditions the last two Saturdays, raining all over the Penguins first two home football contests of the season. YSU squeaked out a win at the home opener, Sept. 12, 21-14, against Robert Morris, then pounded St. Francis (Pa.) 48-3 on Sept. 19. Both games featured torrential downpours. The Penguins now go on the road to open the conference schedule against South Dakota Sept. 3 but return to Stambaugh Stadium for contests Sept. 10 vs. Illinois State and Sept. 17 vs. South Dakota State.
Folks in the Athletics department are hoping for big crowds – and no rain.
