Perfect again: DPT students post 100-percent passing rate
For the second consecutive year, Youngstown State University physical therapists are perfect.
All 27 students who received the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from YSU in May 2016 passed the National Physical Therapy Examination on the first attempt. Last year, all 23 students passed.
“Passing the board is the final accomplishment made by our students as they enter into their practice world,” said Nancy Landgraff, professor and chair of Physical Therapy. “Passing on the first attempt is representative of the intensity of the education that the student's receive and demonstrates the commitment of faculty and students to student success in the YSU DPT Program.”
The exam must be passed before physical therapists can practice in the United States.
