World renowned oral historian and author Alessandro Portelli gives the keynote address at V.W. Starr’s History Across the Humanities conference at the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor, Thursday and Friday, Feb. 25 and 26.
The address, titled “History as Narrative,” is 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, in the Center, 151 W. Wood St. in Youngstown. It is free and open to the public.
The conference is presented by the Alpha Gamma Beta chapter of the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society and includes workshops on topics such as research, proposal and public speaking, as well as student research presentations.
