McDonough presents "A Day in the Life of an Indie Game Developer" lecture
Organizers of the Youngstown Game Developers Group present a lecture titled, "A Day in the Life of an Indie Game Developer" 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, in the auditorium of the McDonough Museum of Art on the campus of Youngstown State University. The presenters include: Kendra Corpier, a professional graphic designer and game developer, as well as the founder of Eimear Studios. She has a variety of experience in the video game industry, from being a QA tester to working for studios, and even being a part of video game press. With her indie studio, she creates, designs, produces and publishers games, from concept to finish. Bill Jones, a professional software engineer with a passion for game development. He has presented at the indie mega booth at PAX East and attended several Global Game Jams at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Jones has contributed to several games that have reached various levels of notoriety. Andrew Pavlick’s professional work encompasses everything from real-time graphics to 3D printing, including custom 3D characters for SpeechPathology, environments and prop modeling for Fresenius Kabi, and recording motion capture and custom character rigging for training and medical simulations. He was a co-founder of Enyx Studios, and currently operates his own business, Create a Andrew Pavlick (CAP).
