Adapted by Joe Landry and produced by special arrangement with Playscripts Inc., “It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” was inspired by the classic American film, “It's a Wonderful Life.” In the play, the movie comes to life portrayed as a live 1940s radio broadcast performed in front of the studio audience, featuring a six-person cast.
Guest director is Lisa Ann Goldsmith of Pittsburgh, a member of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, Actors’ Equity Association and the Screen Actors’ Guild. She is also a professional actor with many New York and regional credits. Goldsmith is accomplished in radio plays and Foley sound effects. Foley is a term used for the sound effects technique that reproduces every day sounds for film, stage and other media, and which are done by hand, using various common objects.
