Youngstown State University’s IGNITE, the annual back-to-school event for first-year students, will feature both on-campus and online activities this year under strict health and safety guidelines.
The event runs Thursday, Aug. 13 through Saturday, Aug. 15, with the start of the Fall semester on Monday, Aug. 17.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, and in an attempt to minimize the number of people on campus, most classes will be held remotely, off campus this semester. Strict social distancing, face-covering, participant numbers and other restrictions are in place.
IGNITE includes in-person and online campus tours so students can learn how to find each of their classrooms, one-on-one Q&A sessions with a training student leader and tips and tricks on balancing your workload. Students will also be able to pick up their YSU ID. To schedule for IGNITE, visit HERE and select your date, time and starting location or get a link for a virtual tour.
