Forensic Scientist lectures on chemistry in the fight against drugs
Shaena Taylor, forensic scientist in drug chemistry with the Cuyahoga County Regional Forensic Science Laboratory, presents “How we put CHEMISTRY in Forensic Drug Chemistry,” 6 p.m. Monday, April 3.
As part of the presentation in room 6029 in Ward Beecher, Taylor will discuss her work on understanding and combatting the exploding heroin, fentanyl and carfentanil crisis. She will focus on the scientific challenges of identifying and quantifying the countless samples they receive each day.
Taylor graduated from YSU in 2008 with an BSAS degree in Forensic Science.
