Diversity Campus Leadership Awards announced; celebration dinner March 23
Karen H. Larwin, associate professor of Educational Foundations, Research, Technology and Leadership, and Jaietta Jackson, an instructor of Communication, will receive the Campus Leadership award at the annual Youngstown State University Diversity Leadership Recognition Dinner.
The award honors faculty, staff and administrators who are leaders in diversity and inclusion.
Larwin and Jackson will receive the awards at the dinner 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 23, in Stambaugh Auditorium Tyler Grand Ballroom.
The recipient of the Diversity Leadership Achievement Award also will be announced at the event. The award recognizes a college, program, organization, business, or group that has made significant measurable achievements in diversity and inclusion.
Meanwhile, the YSU Division of Multicultural Affairs has announced that the following students have been selected to receive Diversity Leadership Scholarships:
- Ramona M. Kindell, junior, majoring in Geography/Sociology.
- Kaitlin McClendon, senior, majoring in Biology Pre-Medicine/Psychology.
- Dia Scruggs, senior, majoring in Communication, Social Media.
