Cliffe Performing Arts Series presents Nobuntu at DeYor Performing Arts Center
The Cliffe Performing Arts Series at Youngstown State University is proud to announce the first event of its 2024-2025 season, featuring the internationally acclaimed Zimbabwean vocal ensemble, Nobuntu. The performance will take place 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 27, at the Ford Family Recital Hall, located in the DeYor Performing Arts Center.
Nobuntu is celebrated for its stunning vocal harmonies, vibrant performances, and their commitment to preserving the rich traditions of African music. Comprising five women, Nobuntu combines a capella singing with minimalistic percussion, traditional instruments, and intricate dance, creating a show that captivates and moves audiences around the world. Their music reflects the beauty and power of Zimbabwean culture, offering a unique and inspiring artistic experience.
This highly anticipated performance is part of Cliffe College's ongoing mission to bring diverse, world-class performers to the Youngstown community and enrich the cultural landscape of the Mahoning Valley.
