Business students return from Global Learning Experience in Prague
Thirteen students from the Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University spent spring break in Prague, Czech Republic, as part of the WCBA Global Learning Experience program.
GBL introduces YSU students to Eurozone entrepreneurs, international businesses and explores the resources available to startups within the global market. Students attended meetings with Czech-based entrepreneurs and start-ups, visited international businesses and government development agencies, and also toured landmarks in and around Prague. Participating firms and education sessions included: Tlustý Leatherworks, Prusa Research, Skoda Volkswagen Plant and Museum, DOX - Centre for Contemporary Art, Architectural Institute in Prague, and Adison.
“The trip was an amazing experience, expanding my knowledge about diverse cultures, unique traditions and various regions within a country,” said Ahmed Elkhafif, an International Business major. “The connections made and experience gained will serve me well as I look to make my own mark in the global business world.”
Students participating in the trip were Maria Vince, Hannah Thomas, Tamra Garrity, Sophia Harakal, Rebecca Poulson, Amy Wells, Autumn Feo, Justin Morgan, Mason Scovil, Jordan Williams, Sydney Wells, Ahmed Elkhafif and Amir BenDaali.
