20 February 2025 - 5:00pm to 7:00pm02/20/2025 10:00pm 02/21/2025 12:00am The African & Caribbean Student Union presents Island Vibes - A Taste of Home Find Your Island Twin Upon arrival, each student gets a small flag sticker of a Caribbean country (not their own). Their mission: Find someone from that country or who knows about it! Once they find their twin, they must introduce themselves and learn one fun fact about each other. o “Wah Dat Mean?” (Caribbean Slang Challenge) Prepare a list of Caribbean slang words from different islands (e.g., Wah gwan - Jamaica, Mash up - Trinidad, Bey - Bahamas). Split students into teams and have them guess the meaning of the slang terms. The team with the most correct answers wins a small prize! Cultural Showcase & Entertainment (5:40– 6:40PM) • Poetry & Spoken Word: Perform Caribbean poetry or personal pieces by Nicarlyle • Facts About the Bahamas: State facts others may not know about the Bahamas: Done by Stephon 1013 Lariccia International Collaboratory Oloyede David Adeeko UTC public
