To facilitate the interpreting/C-Print program for students with disabilities, the following policies have been developed:
- The student is responsible for discussing the need for an interpreter/C-Print Operator with their professors. The student should meet with their professor, give them a copy of their accommodation letter, and discuss their accommodations.
- The student must contact CSP Disability Services if there is a change in their schedule any time after the first day class.
- If services are not need in a class, the student should let the interpreter/C-Print Operator know and call CSP Disability Services immediately.
- The student must notify CSP Disability Services and the interpreter/C-Print Operator if they will miss class for any reason. This includes scheduled absences and illness.
- The CSP Disability Services office phone number is: 330-941- 1372.
- Having an Interpreter/C-Print Operator in class is an accommodation given to the student to give them equal access to the class. This requires the student to attend class on a regular basis.
- If the student misses class 3 days in a semester without notification or two weeks with notification, the interpreter/C-Print Operator will stop going to the class. Services will not continue until the student comes to CSP Disability Services and meets with the Assistant Director or Coordinator to discuss resuming interpreting/C-Print services. If there are extenuating circumstances, CSP Disability Services will handle absences on a case-by-case basis.
- If a student knows he/she is going to be late, please let the interpreter/C-Print Operator know.
- If a scheduled class is cancelled. The student should make an effort to contact the CSP Disability Services and the Interpreter/ C- Print Operator as soon as possible to let them know about the cancellation. Forty-eight hours notice is required.
- If a student needs an interpreter/C-Print Operator outside the regularly scheduled class period, he/she should contact CSP Disability Services at least 2 weeks prior to the event to schedule the accommodation.
