Dietetics Programs
Food and nutrition—two areas you'd love to build your expertise in as a professional. Choose one of the two paths to success through our Dietetics programs and prepare for your future career.
What You'll Study
Dietetics Programs prepare you for careers in dietetics, the credentialed and licensed field related to Food and Nutrition. Eligibility for the Registered Dietitian credential requires completion of core dietetics coursework in the Didactic Program in Dietetics, as well as a Master’s degree in dietetics or a related area, and a minimum of 1000 hours of Supervised Practice in dietetics settings.
Registered Dietitians require Licensure or Certification to practice in most US states, and work with patients or clients, communities, and populations to deliver services to promote health, fitness, and wellness, as well as Medical Nutrition Therapy.
YSU also offers an Undergraduate Dietetics degree – the Bachelor of Science in Applied Sciences - Didactic Program in Dietetics.
Our Dietetics programs are Accredited by ACEND.
