The Department of Social Work offers its BSW and MSW programs in cooperation with four regional community colleges.

The Bachelor of Social Work programs at these sites are fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. The BSW program at the satellite sites allows students to apply general education, social work support, and elective courses available at the respective community colleges to the BSW program. Students complete upper level YSU social work courses on the community college campus to complete requirements for the BSW degree. Courses are offered weekday evenings.

The Master of Social Work programs at these sites are fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. The MSW program at the satellite sites allows students to achieve their degree in three years with a combination of Saturday and online courses.
Beginning summer semester 2017 a 1-year (39 hour) Advanced Standing Program will be available for applicants holding a Bachelor of Social Work Degree.
